I entered into a 12 month contract which ends 14.6.09. I rang T mobile on 15th May to give 30 day notice and was told it was not required and I could just terminate by ringing on 14th June. Had a brief look through their website but can't see anything about it.

You have to ring 30 days in advance to cancel your contract. So yes you have to give 30 days notice. The person over the phone was talking rubbish. Ring back and and give the 30 days notice ans request a PUK code. So you can transfer your number to a new provider if you need to.

I have emailed them again. I originally emailed and they rang me to say I didn't need to etc. and that I could have my PUK code there and then.
