Using connecting flights - pros/cons?

I've done dozens of round trips to the USA and not once misconnected, so I really wouldn't worry. Just have a back up plan in case you do...0

how do you NOT know. Did you buy 1 ticket, in 1 transaction, or did you buy 1 ticket to PHL and then another ticket to somewhere else???
if you bought 1 ticket, and it is all with US Airways, then you have 1 ticket, and you just change planes. It really isn't as complex as you're making it...
Thanks for your reply. When I decided to go to to Orlando, I searched on Expedia and Opodo and booked connecting flights on Opodo. This was all in one transaction. After my first couple of questions in this thread, I then discovered this is called a through ticket. I was just interested to hear other people's experiences as this forum is great for that.0 -

You will still need to collect your baggage after immigration in PHL and recheck them at the recheck point.0
