PAYPAL CREDIT CARD and GE CAPITAL

Options
I responded to an email from PayPal to apply for a PayPal Credit Card. Yes it was genuine. They promised a £20 eBay voucher if you were accepted and you activated the card. When I phoned to activate my credit card, issued by GE Capital, they knew nothing about the £20 eBay voucher. I then contacted PayPal via their website who told me to ring Santander (?). I rang the number and it turned out to be a call centre in India. They too knew nothing about the £20 voucher and told me to ring eBay (?) but could help me with my account. In fact the operator was one of the most unhelpful people I have ever dealt with. I am not claiming this has anything to do with Indian call centres before you jump and down. I then told them I was going to cancel the account which I did over the phone there and then. She didn't even try and convince me to stay with them. Unbeleivable. Has anyone else experienced any problems of this nature with the PayPal Credit Card?

Yea and to be honest closing down a card for a £20 voucher is slightly ridiculous as well - in fact applying for a £20 ebay voucher is bad enough but to close for non receipt is actually comical :D

I'm in security but know a lot about unenforceability cos I have been battling with it for the last year and only just recently have Experian emptied my file but still ongoing with Equifax.

At least I got one cleared so i'l lavoid equifax if needs be for the next 4 years LOL

But yea, I know enough about it and all the clauses and how to get out of different situations and the letters to send and what can/cannot be asked etc. Also know that the test cases are not going to proceed and things will be as normal.

Lots going on at the mo but suffice to say if you are not liable to pay then i'll help you not to pay and to stop them hassling you and eventually to get data removed. See the thread link I posted and you'll see the letters - I tend to do them for people, lol, easier than explaining the processes involved!

One point to make mate, i'm against enforceability! Personally I prefer unenforceability but I knew it was a typo LOL

LOL, ermmm ok! Everyone knows that one is a county court judgement and the other is simply a default to the debt, i.e. arrears!

CCJ's do not become statute barred. Instead they will naturally expire from CRA records 6yrs after the date of order. Remember though, unlike a default, they can be reinstated for as long as they remain unsatisfied, they are also recorded at the registry trust, satisfied or otherwise.
