  • Went into my local branch and spoke to manager on Friday. She was disgusted at they way the chap in cardservices customer services spoke to me.....although irrational, i was right to be angry!!!!

Anyway, she said that yes i should have been contacted by someone about my card being blocked (even if it was only an automated phone call) and has helped me log a complaint about this guy!! Then recieved a phone call from our area manager who again was apologetic and said he would be following up complaint too!!!

So in answer to my question, YES you should be told when they block your card and if they think it is being used fraudulantly they should actually SPEAK to you and enquire with your self.

I feel OP's pain. Last week Lloyds put my card on block due to some discrepancies with another, which I thought I had sorted but some prat hadn't put on the system so I've been slowly going into more debt because of it.

Anyway, only discovered this when I went to the train station, all packed up with suitcase, dressed up to visit a mate. The pallava trying to get it sorted was ridiculous. Nobody seemed to know why it was on block and there were no notes. In the end it took 4 days, 25 phone calls, one official complaint and having to beg to be put through to my branch to take the block off.

I received a letter YESTERDAY saying they were going to do it.... a full week after the block.
