Ive emailed them to ask if its a mistake and theyre not replying to me.
Unfortunately you can't force them to respond, although asking them direct if it was a mistake is not a bad idea. The claim via paypal will continue until either you show items was dleivered with online tracking or buyer withdraws claim.

Thinking about this today I wonder if they are actually getting back at you somehow for doing something that they might have thought was dodgy. You say you opened a mutual on them by accident, maybe they thought you were one of those dodgy sellers who tries to fiddle ebay by claiming back your fees even though the sale went ahead? If that is the case this might be a 'getting back at a dodgy seller' type of scenario. What did you email and say to them when you originally realised you had tried to reclaim your fees on a sold item, was there anything ambiguous at all in your explanation?

From her emails its clear she is lieing. She claims to of left feedback for the wrong set,. says shes bought a few off ebay. Looking at her feedback and advanced search of items bought she has only bought mine. Even if she had bought others mine was not a complete set and unboxed so she could not of got it confused as it says so in title and listing.

I rang Paypal and pointed it out and they agreed it sounded like shed had the item but they said all they care about is electronic tracking. If you dont have it then they will ALWAYS take the buyers side regardless

That has always been the case. Unfortunately you will lose this unless buyer withdraws the claim.

Let the buyer win the paypal battle, whilst you take care over winning the war on this item. ;)

To clarify, you can't file this until they win the chargeback.

TBh I hadnt noticed until they emailed me that I opened it for the wrong item. I explained the situation clearly and assumed they would understand. They could have just declined the offer

As I have found out the hard way mistakes cost money and all you can really take away from this is to double check before you hit any button.

Bank transfers to the Camera Repair guy instead of my daughter (fortunately that didn't cost me as I grovelled a lot but it could have)
