Merlin if you do consider them then do as Godiva did and get all your information and help from else where and use B&E to file it as they don't have the waiting listthat everyone else does.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Would I lose my broadband (which I DO need because of various things ie not a luxury item; PC etc same and only recently had to replace it), would payment meters get installed (which I couldn't afford to feed if so); attempt to get back into work very very slowly after ill health. This is what has stopped me so far as I am not sure. I had a wrangle last year with one company and sorted something out you see. Just slightly scared, because too much pressure right now and worry about all this is taking me down into a place I don't want to be again. Loads of things I am worried about and over.
I know I don't have to tell my LL etc unlike BR but those other things above I am unclear on and this is what's creating a lot of negative anxiety in me right now. Apart from dozens of other things at once no one needs. Already have a basic bank account but someone told me I might lose it; which means it could be hard to get a second one with the same bank if so. Opened it last year on advisement from CCCS but don't use it yet.
That's why I've been watching for people doing one to see what happens in that direction as above.
You wouldnt lose your broadband, its not even brought into the equation unless you have a debt against it. Basically anything to which you dont have a debt with, (be it electricity company, phone, internet, bank etc), do not get told of the DRO.
The whole process is incredibly easy. So easy that you begin to worry is it too good to be true!!
My only concern is about appeals from creditors, but time will tell how this pans out.I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West

Merlinexcalibur wrote: »Thanks. It's a relief to hear these things alone. I have to take something out of myself you see once and for all. In as much as I can. Basically, I have stored up several lifetimes of grief in different ways, seeing people I can't really help going through all the same things over and over, knowing the injustices and so on in a finite number of years. It's started to accumulate now and I need to expel it. It's this that is causing me havoc right now apart from the debt. It's a 'debt' if you like I have to pay outside the financial. I know everyone has this at these times but I have been at the precipice far too many times but never gone right over it. Something always brings me back, snaps back and rights itself. Just circumstance more than anything, right time/wrong place/right time again. But this time I know that cannot happen so easily. Hope that made sense.
Yes. Would the basic bank account I have be affected or could I keep that post DRO? And Ebay?
You can keep any "safe" bank account, your bank will not even be informed. As for ebay I cant see any problem, unless of course it lifts your income above the £50 a month mark, but that is unlikely with ebay as it is probably irregular income???I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.Mae West
