AOL Flexi - Not available in my area?

Hi i am in desperate need of a 3 month or less contract length broadband.

I live in the Scottish Borders under the TD1 2BB postcode area.

I have looked into AOL Flexi Broadband as the best choice as i need a wireless router/upto 8mbs speed and the 10gb per month download limit is fine. There is also no contract length which is fine.

The problem lies in when i type in my phone number into the 'Check Availability' box and it says it is not available in my area. Then it says click 'here' to see which packages are. It then reconmends the package i have just tried in this list. So is it available or not?

Anyone know if this is a bug on the website and it actually is available. I havent got access to a phone to phone these guys yet.

P.s if anyone knows any broadband with the similar specifications to the the AOL Flexi package please do tell. I am desperate

Thanks.

Congratulations, you are in a broadband enabled area.
The following services are available in your location:
    BT Wholesale ADSL
    BT Wholesale ADSL Max
    Tiscali LLU
    Tiscali TV (via Tiscali LLU)

AOL is not yet available in your area
O2 / Be Unlimited is not yet available in your area
Bulldog (C&W) is not yet available in your area
TalkTalk (CPW) has not yet unbundled your exchange
Sky Broadband / Easynet is not yet available in your area
Edge Telecom is not yet available in your area
Entanet is not yet available in your area
Lumison is not yet available in your area
Newnet is not yet available in your area
Node4 is not yet available in your area
Pipex is not yet available in your area
Smallworld Media is not yet available in your area
Tiscali is available in your area
Tiscali TV is available in your area
Orange is not yet available in your area
WB Internet is not yet available in your area
Zen is not yet available in your area

So basically you are stuck with either Tiscali or BT, with other ISP's you will pay a premium unfortunately as they don't have their own equipment in the exchange.

I am not sure what packages Tiscali/BT offer or if they have rolling monthly contracts.

Well all providers can offer a package through BT Wholesale so perhaps you were on this with them?, usually though you find you don't get the best value packages and have to pay a premium.

The exchange I have quoted above is the one for your postcode. It is the Galashiels exchange. You can get more detail if you go to www.samknows.com, click check availability on the right and enter your phone number and postcode.

The AOL site may be recommending other packages because they don't have LLU equipment in your exchange and therefore can't offer you the package you want.

But the Flexi package that is nto available is then reconmended on its 'whats available for you' page. Along with the same package with the call plan. I am just a little confused

I have been having a look at broadband services as we have a move planned. When I looked at AOL Flexi I think if you check the small print on the initial offer page it says it is only available in certain areas at the that price. You can still have the package if you live out of area but at a cost of £5 more per month - as I read it anyway!
