It might just be me being soft
but I just wanted to tell everyone to keep up the fantastic work you have been doing whether you are repaying off debts, just finished paying them ($17mma), just starting your debt free journey or just offering your fantastic advice!
You all really are fantastic people! So many people give up hours of their days just to offer support, advice or shoulders to cry on for absolutely no personal gain! :T
The debt free wannabe board is without doubt THE best board on this great site. No other board can pick you up when your feeling low like on here!
With all the crap that goes on in this world it restores alot of my faith in human nature!
Well done to everyone who contributes to this site and a massive thank you from me personally!

I would like to second that, a great thanks to everyone who contributes in such a positive and helpful way!
Just yesterday I was having a conversation with someone and they offered to send me something through the post as a gift, how fab is that?! You know who you are and thank you again
We don't know each other in the conventional sense but I feel really close to lots of you, it is a fantastic community..... now I'm going soft
And, of course, big thanks to southernscouser from me
Thank you for being inspirational, helpful and a lot of fun

Would you like to elaborate on the fun bit?
:rotfl:
And why don't I get gifts in the post?

Totally agree southernscouser :T
I sometimes go to other parts of this wonderful site, but it's never the same as being here. So many lovely helpful people.
I was only wondering the other day, when I am not in debt, what shall I do, can I still linger on this part of the site. Maybe I should keep £10 on a 0% credit card just in case.

Fab, I love it!!
We have to let the debt free people stay to motivate the rest (and cos how dare they leave?!).

All I can say is I love being a member and wish I had found this site earlier. :T0

I'm confused aswell now kath!

I was joking why I was fun and you said someone offered to post you something but no-one ever posts me anything!
Other than bills! :rotfl: 0 -
got to agree with SS :T
This board can always cheer me up if being a DFW is getting me down, even if it is just helping someone who's just had their lightbulb moment - somehow it makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one, and reminds me just how far I have come!
I just wish I'd found this place earlier on in my debt-free wannabe life!! I'd have killed for the kind of support on offer here when I was first facing up to it all, and £41k seemed like an insurmountable problem
I have no intention of clearing off once I become debt-free, it'll help me stay on the straight and narrow if nothing else! In fact I was thinking of offering my services as a volunteer to the CAB, to help other people facing up to their debts - I'll wait until I've sorted myself out first though
Highest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300
Debt Free - August 2006!!

Ohhh, ok then! Sorry, was having a dull moment
:rotfl:
You're fun cos as well as serious and thoughtful posts you seem to lead us into jokes and lots of laughter too, sometimes just what we need!
As for the posting you something... would have to think of something appropriate!
*whisper for fear of igniting old joke* shampoo for car mats maybe?!
Sorry, will stop mentioning that
You know I'm only joking not teasing though.... I hope
