Neither do i?? If she was in ''witness protection'', you wouldn't know about it as you wouldn't have any contact.....and the UK doesn't do ''witness protection'', it's an american thing. The Uk have different schemes.

Your friend does seem to have an above average level of excitement/ distress/ problems in her life.

I don't know her, so she may be telling the truth...

I suppose the general idea is that it's kept quite secret. i am surprised there is nothing, as the other person says, it doesn't exist in the UK, but does in America, so I am sure there are references.

Who has told you she is in a witness protection scheme and has left the country?

  • On the information you have given, it's highly unlikely that she would merit that kind of protection. Witness protection is the last resort for people, it means cutting off all contact with friends, family etc and recieving a new identity/life. And as before, very, very rare in the UK.

If your still in touch with her, then she's not in witness protection.

  • Her family wouldn't have taken her anywhere, it would have been done by the authorities. If she is in that sort of scheme, her family wouldn't know where she is. Somebody somewhere is being economical with the truth. If you are that concerned about her welfare then contact the local police, it sounds a very strange and a very very unlikely scenario to me.

(they tend to board up houses when people are evicted...it's a bit obvious to board it up if she's in a protec tionprogramme don't you think??)
