Do supermarkets think we are stupid as well, items that you buy on a regular basis you remember the price of the item, however if they go on a BOGOF the individual price goes up so not technically a BOGOF, thou you are still saving. I beleive this is totally wrong, but guessing its not illegal!!
Do we as consumers have any rights over this?0 -
In short, no. The shops will adhere to the letter of the law (about the goods being on sale in another store in the past 28 days. Since prices vary in different Tesco they can just pick the highest and use that).
It is simple for customers really, just look at the deal and think (YES, really, take your brain shopping with you) 'Is this a good deal for me?'0 -

As far as i know, supermarkets have to raise the price for a certain amount of time before putting it on offer. Usually the price goes down because if its a national promotion they have to lower their price to the cheapest store in the country.

Regarding Best Before Dates. I would just like to point out that although some foods can and will last beyond its BBD, they in place for a reason. All food stuffs with a BBD would of gone though rigorous Lab tests to determine at which point the food started to deterioate. This would then become the Best Before Date."There are no pockets in a shroud..."0
