just spoke to experian (credit report company) they wreckon that there will be no reason why cahoot wont give me the loan due to the mistake by orange! which is making me happy!! so i can in effect consolodate everything into one place at 5.6%. They have recommended that i dont apply for any more loans (which i dont want to do as thats why im in this mess!!!).

Also if i were to get refused it woud not go against my credit score which is a bonus! They also said to keep a couple of the unused accouns on there as they say that they are settled which says that you can reliably pay up!!!

    Any views???

 Well just got off the phone to egg and unfortunatly my appeal has not turned around their decision!! They asked me a load of questions for half an hour and i thought i was going to get it!! Still got cahoots reply but im not holding my breath!!!! From what i got from egg it wasnt just the orange incident. They were also concerned about my spending habits |(which are under control now I hacent to add!!!) !! So where do i go from here? My biggest concern are those credit cards 17.9%!!!! I cant get credit to bounce them and cant get a loan to consolodate! it really has annoyed me as i have never been late with a payment and can easily afford the payments!!!

What would you guys do in my position??? HELP (again!!)!
  • erm ... honestly? I think you need to crack on with paying them as much as you possibly can. Cut corners in every other area of spending you have to get them paid off. If you have a good record of payment, they may well offer you special deals. I know you said they might call your bluff if you threaten to cancel, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW you can't get other credit. For all they know you have a 5.9% life of the balance card ready and waiting for a balance transfer. Just ring them and ask! What's the worst they can say? No? They won't close your account because they're making money from you, and you're reliable.

You're not paying PPI, are you?

I have had a second refusal from cahoot so i need to have a plan of how to get rid of the credit cards. Parents have also helped by stopping any rent so more cash spare. Here is the situation

    Natwest £1850 17.9%
    Barclaycard £1900 17.9
Egg £712 ? lower than above.

With much self discipline and this site ;) I have managed to get rid of my overdraft (£350) and managed to renegociate my mobile contract to £35 pm

    My SOA now is:

    Income:
    Wages £1164

    Outgoings
    Egg loan £300.20
    Insurance £38
    Mobile £35
    Internet £21
Hire purchase £21.88 (15 months left £335.87 balance)
    Petrol £120
Credit cards (Egg, Natwest, Barclaycard as explained above)
Working it out ive got about £600 to play with how should I approach it?

Should I pay off large amounts on the Barclaycard one and minimum on the other 2 until it is paid off??? or should i pay them all off equally?? or should i just concentrate on the Natwest and Barclaycard and worry about the egg one last?? Help again please!!!!

Natwest and Barclaycard have higher rates so I would think about paying them off first. You owe slightly more on Barclaycard so I think you should pay more to this one first.

call your CC co & ask them or get your brother to call Cap One.

So long as they have your brothers permission it should be fine.!
