A friend has just got a parking ticket on his car today.
He parks in the same place everyday while going to work. He has just come back to his car to find that he has been ticketed.
He parked on double yellow lines.
This is where it gets funny.
The lines wernt there this morning when he parked at 5.
His car was lifted up the lines painted and put back down. He even has paint on his car. He has to pay for the parking ticket and also for them lifting his car.
They have said that they gave out fliers the day before to all cars but he wasent at work yesterday.
Before you say there must be signs saying that this was happening there was not, hes not that silly to park if signs are about.
The signs were there when he got back.
Any suggestions on what he can do?

before you do that can you follow the 'sticky' advice for new posts. Show us docs and say what Council etc.
It does indeed sound outrageous but don't miss out on all the ammo possible.

Wasent with my mate just basacially got off the phone with him as he was fuming, will get in touch and try and get the copies of the ticket.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

I'm sure the Sun would pay £100 for the story. Tell him to call the number on page 2 and ask for £500. When they tell him to take a hike ask what is it worth then and I reckon they'll offer £100.0

they went throught the hassle of moving his car to paint the lines to move it back .. wow all that in one day without anyone noticing ..

I'm surprised they moved his car and put it back. Normally I was aware in these instances it would be towed away! Is he sure he didn't miss the signs in the morning, being unaware of it? What about other vehicles?0

Please note this is a 2nd hand account on what has happened. Any particular reason you he would be lying to me.
You didnt take the call from him and hear how pi**ed off he was about the situation.
How can it be BS when similiar situations like this have happened :eek:
