I use a debit card for anything over a fiver and then cashback credit card for internet etc.
don't like having huge wads of cash on me and a small amount means i can pay for a trolley at supermarket etc. Also like the idea if something happened to my mobile i would be able to use a pay phone although they seem to be a bit thin on the ground these days:rolleyes:
p.s Jonnybravo when I was in Newcastle the lloyds atm there gives you fivers! Thought it was amazing. I think all banks should do this!
Fife, you say? I thought the atm's were still paying out in pound notes in that neck of the woods.

£65 feel naked without at least £50 in my pocket, but thinking about it thats been the same amount for about 25 years.0

Some charity shops don't take card payments, so I always have a spare tenner tucked in a tiny keyring pouch and safety-pinned closed to make it tricky to get it out (avoids impulse buys but allows for unmissable bargains).
Today I have this tenner plus £18.69 cash, but that's to last me at least a week. No big expenses envisaged, got my rail tickets for the next three journeys, and enough food except bread, milk and veg.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I would have had more but my 4 year old caught me counting it so I could post here and robbed some for his piggy bank
I tend to use my card because I spend it far to easily if I have cash, all those couple of quids here and there soon add up. I feel daft spending on my card if its only for a small item.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

I'm unusually loaded. I took out some cash just 10 days ago to go out for a drink/meal with friends, then the drunkest one went and got the bill and insisted he paid, so that was £10 saved.
I have: £14.25. One £5 note and the rest in change.0 -

I only operate with cash, except for online purchasing.
I used to make a monthly withdrawal, however having a new job in walking distance has significantly reduced my spending, & I tend now to go to the cashpoint when I get down to my last tenner.
Why, what are you selling? Got any ID?It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
