My blog will generate a credit score that is every bit as useful as the score generated by the credit reference agencies. Even better it will do it for free

Thanks that has cheared me up, that's the best score I have ever had that I am aware of, only been checking the last couple of years. Although I am getting rid of my debt and paying it on time my score is getting worse lol.

Never mind, you can't win 'em all.
Congratulations on your weight loss, Fliss

Awwww, thank you very much. (as I love blowing my trumpet about it hehehe, its 35lbs, still 42 to go tho)

Have looked at my report again, and I see what you mean. It actually has a box at the top detailing my worst ever status, and thats 1. No way of knowing how many of them there are. (I had some problems bout 2004)

But am sure they dont always record them. I know I had a call from my new look card about a missed payment and paid that day via internet backing, and a few have called before and I paid over the phone. I think sometimes they list as U rather then 1. Certainly seems to have saved my credit report tho, lol (tho am sure I have never missed more then 1 payment)

I think that's right. Lenders vary in this respect, as with everything else.
Btw, some (eg. Barclaycard) always report payments as little as a day late to the CRAs, even when staff have promised otherwise
