We had a stir fry. I made it with chicken left over from yesterday's roast (still loads left so chicken pie tomorrow), along with half a packet of noodles found in cupboard, chopped onion, broccoli and red pepper from organic veg box. Also had a bit of ginger (rather old) lying around, so chopped that and chucked it in, and a handful of nuts. Used a mix of olive and sesame oil to fry it in. Delicious!0

Stock
Lightly fry the onion and mushrooms in butter. Add the chicken for 2-3minutes. Add this along with any hard veg (swede, spuds, carrots etc) to the SC and add the stock. Dash of worcester sauce, pepper and any herbs. Leave for 3hrs, then add frozen peas and cornflour to thicken if needed. Cook for a further 1-2hrs and is ready to serve. I serve with either mash or rice. Sometimes add spuds to the SC if I have some that need using. Ive also added peppers and anything that needs using really. Makes about 5 portions.

I just wondered how much stock you'd put in this cos it sounds yummy0 -
We had chicken pie - left over roast chicken & gravy from Monday (always do a bit extra cos we all love the pie!), mushrooms & onions - bung them all in a pie dish & top with shop bought puff pastry (I did the home economics o' level as it was then & vowed NEVER to make my own again). Brush over with milk, bake in hot oven for about 30-40mins & serve with mashed potatoes, peas & carrots, yum. Use scraps of pastry to make little pasties full of of cheese & onion / yummy jam or anything you've got hanging around - these are then taken to work the next day.0
