Yeah well now its even worse - its £45 on Oasis site but they have no size 8's or £65 on ASOS and they have size 8 - arghhhhh I want to buy it now but dont want to pay £65, so now I can buy a size 10 and wear it baggy or pay more for a size 8 :mad:0 -
afternoon - blimey, 4pm!! Not got much done today.
Inkycats - happy birthday to my almost twin!!! How does throwing ourselves into a 48 hour 40th birthday party sound next year ? :rotfl:
Very, very tired and headachey today and can't stop yawning.
Couple of interesting emails today with different emotions - one at work from a colleague. Signed
'Thanks BB'
:eek::eek::eek:
thinking oooooooooooooh poo, I've been rumbled and she's subtley letting me know, I wrote 'ermmmmmmmmmm........BB?'
and her reply?
'yeah, Birthday Buddy!'
PHEW!!!!! We have a system where we are buddied up with someone to buy and send their birthday card round and she is my 'BB' - birthday buddy!!! :rotfl: slight sickening feeling recedes!!
Second email - from my Mum - with my name in the title
' I keep seeing bits on Facebook about her being unhappy etc. but she says all is well......you do not have to go into details but I am a bit concerned'
I wrote back saying I thought perhaps this email wasn't meant to be sent to me, but probably my sister . I said I was fine, but needed a better job and better hours.
And what triggered that? An answer on those silly quizzes where the question was something like how did I feel and I put 'a bit sad'. I've now deleted said quiz, my Mum makes herself ill with worry over the smallest of thing, so I don't tell her anything, I remember why, now! I know she only means well, but over the years, she has always said 'I will worry myself silly about that' (even if it is something tiny) and has been on 'nerve' pills for years.....

Very tired today so might treat myself to a little snooze before I tackle the cleaning.
Toto - I'd be inclined to trial child A on the antibiotics but can't really say without knowing which one. Would only use a penecillin based one if he/she had had penecillin before and definitely not allergic.
I have to be very careful how I word this because of the 'medical advice thing' I don't want the thread deleted
But, child A's parents (well parent) has been doing a bit of asking around today and has possibly found someone who will include child A into a research programme in the uk. Which is great news.
The good thing is there are a lot of new things being tested and researched at the moment, so there is hope. The trouble is hope isn't what parents of these kids are lacking, if we could put that in a pill form it'd be awesome. I don't think anyone is under any illusion that this antibiotic will be a cure, but it has been shown to help, significantly in some cases. So, it's a start and has to be better than some of the medications currently prescribed to these kids which are pretty severe.
Anyway, I'll shut up about this now, before I get myself into trouble

I hope it all works out ok Toto and that the child is helped.0

oh, I took up the 'offer' of a wii for a present
even though I think it's too much money for someone - anyone - to spend on a gift.
Had to push for it though - I jokingly said 'ah, you off to get me me wii?' reply 'oh, you're still having one then?'
CC was given to me to order it myself - who said the art of romantic gift giving is dead :rotfl:

lol - sounds good Sally!! As long as I don't ever get drunk enough to accept a challenge from you for the 2 person run :eek::eek:
Had an email back from my mum apologising saying she meant to ask my sister and that she didn't want to ask me direct in case she upset me and was being an 'over anxious mum'. I understand that she would worry if I did have problems, but my mum has made worrying an extreme sport over the years so I learnt very early on not to say anything because I'd hear she'd been in tears 'beside herself with worry' over something really trivial.
My eyes are so heavy and scratchy today and I am really squinting. Hayfever season is truly upon us.
