Also on the subject of scratchcards. Has anybody noticed that take a break has change there system. When you do the free scratchcard now, it only goes onto your bonus amount not onto your cash amount. You can only use the bonus amount once you have used all your cash. They must of changed it because of all the people just doing the free scratchcard.

Has anybody tried drawing out all there money, rather than leaving 10p in as usual and just using the bonus money.

Also you cannot draw out the bonus money, but any winnings from it does go onto your cash amount which you can then withdraw.

    Cheers

Getting very nervous and shouty (where is x, y, z) as I need to leave for my inteview shortly!!!

Felt sick as a dog this morning - jokingly said to hubby in the car....what if (cant be a possibility as I have not had a period in ages and I am too overweight to be a mum, but still)

Thankfully the sickness has gone - I am putting it down to nerves!

    Good luck Candy!

Today is a boring old work day for me so my list is as follows....
    • Brekkie at home
    • Brought left over chilli for lunch and remembered a drink too - good for me!
    • Making storecupboard tea - enchiladas
    • Walk dog for free exercise
    • Phone water people about DD (grrr!)
    • Check banks - loan has now disappeared from the page as it is now paid off!!!
    • Hoover downstairs
    • Look up student loan stuff and get on with it!
    • Charge phone at work (doing now)
    • Start meal plan for next week
    • Buy The Sun (yuk!) as they have the £5 off in Mr Ms coupon that can be used in Mr Ts apparently
    • Get a grip with myself - have been a right sulky madam yesterday and today - just did one of my teams review and had to talk about a family tradegy he's been through and decided that I have no excuse for being such a big girls blouse!
    • Give OH a big free hug!!
That's it for today - better do some work

    Afternoon all.

Usually on a bit earlier than this but it's been a mad morning so far. I'm typing with one hand and holding my dinner in the other.

    Today I have/will:
    • All meals from stores. Drinks from work.
    • Surveys... done two already, more as they arrive.
    • Scratchy - 10p
    • Online banking - DDs are coming out as and when they should and the money I paid in yesterday has cleared.
    • Should be a NSD... not doing anything tonight to need to spend.
    • Water my seedlings and play in the garden - weather permitting.
    • Charge laptop and phone at work.
    • Browse online shops to scout what clothes I want from my Mum at the weekend for my birthday.
    • Allow myself three chunks of Dairy Milk for being good.
    • Sparkle... got some face masks and other lotions and potions so might pamper myself this evening.
Good luck Candy and "chin up" and hugs to anyone who needs it!
  • Hi All

    I am new here.

    Good luck for the interview.

Today is a new day for me as i am trying to spend nothing at all. My job is really boring which means if i got no work to do i spend money on food, starbucks or online shopping.

Today i brought my own lunch with me which has saved me £2.50

I will be home from work earlier than normal tonight so i will be making a homemade chilli with plenty of veg so i wont be tempted to go to the take away which will save me £5.

I have also put things on ebay and amazon which is stopping me shopping as when i get bored i log onto ebay to see if i have anymore bids.

I wont be spending any money tonight as i am doing overtime from home.

So today should be a no spend day.

When i get home tonight i am going to cut up my credit cards and store cards :)

Hope you are all having a good day

Thanks for this, money fritter! I just found my TAB account for the first time in ages, as I wittered on about at the top of this thread. And the 10p *has* gone to the bonus money. I'm going to look for the thread on the GIOL board and see what they recommend.

EDIT: I deposited £10 and then withdrew the lot, a whole £13.05. 10p bonus is still in there, I'm going to see if I can carry on scratching, and play the tickets when they're cheap.

    Afternoon all

I have finally succumbed to temptation and sneaked onto a computer in uni but I have been working hard since 9 so i deserved a little break!!

    Today I have/will
    • free scratches- 50p and 10p- TAB seems to always give me more now that it goes to the bonus money! Haven't had a 10p from them in ages
    • checked online banking and moved change to ISA
    • worked out how much money I have until next payday which isn't a lot as I haven't worked at all this week
    • had a hot chocolate at Starbuck's with my sister but that was my treat for working hard all morning
    • breakfast at home, lunch, snack and drinks with me. Brought an extra sandwich with me so I can stay later!
That's all from me, have to get back to some riveting legal cases now

PS Good Luck Candy for the job interview, I'll hopefully be going to some soon!

    Hi All

My lovely OH gave me the money for the rest of my card last night so paid it in the bank and off my card today. Just got my wages and hopefully some tips to come from restaurant tomorrow and then my wages from full time work on Fri where I can pay my usual amount and it should all be paid and also I should be able to put about the first £3 into the kitty to give back to OH, he wants it in one go rather than bit by bit.

    Today:
    As above
Get a few bits at the shop
    Get petrol
    Lunch from home
    Check emails
Get doctors stuff ready tonight for registering
    Continue with 101 list
Continue with shopping list for Fri
OH's builder friend came round last night to look at our mould. He thinks it's rising damp and that we should write the lanlord and estate agent a letter saying we expect it done within 8-12 weeks and give him a list of people who will test the damp course for free - just need to decide what to write

Hope you all have a good day
