DFW Mother's Day Presents

Hello all!!

What are you getting your mum for Mother's Day? (if anything). As usual I've left it until the last minute, although usually I would only send a card (slap my wrists!!), I wanted to actually get my mum something nice this year!!

So just bought a voucher for a dermalogica facial = £31.50

Also bought some dermalogica samples from ebay = £9.88

Also need to get a card...

I know my mum will love it & be happy with it, but its so much cash (and we all know how tight I am!!).

It's also my stepdads birthday at the start of April so need to get something for him too..

Money money money!!

What are you doing/buying for your mum?

xx

  • I bought a spa day voucher for £25 - the same as her christmas gift. Together that makes £50 and the day total cost is £69. I got a cheap voucher for myself from Ebay and we're going together at the end of April.

More than I'd usually spend, but she's been a great listener this year when we've been scrimping!

    Good ideas - thanks!!

Mum text me today to say she had bought me a ring (I lost the stone of the one I did wear) - so bless her!! I think she thinks that I am going to forget her when I go travelling, and she probably thinks she wont get a Mothers Day Present (been terrible in the past), so it will be a nice suprise for her!!

Will put the gifts into a box/bag & make it look pretty - might add some choccies too.

I got her a card, possibly some nice cakes i have baked and her ticket to the Stitch and Craft Show this Friday (we go to all the knitting shows). It was only £7, and the cakes won't cost much to bake!

    :)

to buy my mum a dvd of a film i know she really likes, total cost, £0.03
and i got her a pair of socks that say 'supermum' on them for £1
    card was 80p

i can't remember what i used to buy for her.....before MSE!
suppose that means i've put more thought into it this year:A

My mum is great, she is coming to pick me up from work so i don't have to get the bus home (my moped broke again!) and she got up this morning on her day off to bring me into work so i wouldn't be late :T

Maybe i should put a voucher in her card for a manicure/pedicure?? (from me)

Got my mum a micro dermabrasion kit from boots last month when they had the £5 off voucher thing on.

I was testing one for a research company and she said she would nt mind trying one so got her it.

cost me £10 instead of £15 so dont mind.

My mum is getting card and that is it.. she knows how special she is all year round.

And we always buy her stuff and she never uses it, sa days, facials, make up, clothes... so we have given up trying to glam her up she is who she is..
