Confused by this one Korky! Every bird of prey seems to have similar plumage/feathers etc! Have been looking at the Osprey too...

Peregrine colour is certainly good and I'd go along with it! Lots of pix on Google look similar too, just nothing from exactly the right angle!
Any twitchers on here?

it's very hard, as you say there's loads similar, would have thought maybe they could have given us more of a clue

I don't think it's a peregrine falcon, they have bars on the feathers. I'll keep looking.

Hi, ok, i'm an avid bird watcher, but this is a differcult one! I don't think it's a Peregrine as they are a greyish colour and the picture looks more brownish/greyish to me?
I'll keep looking.TWBM (hopefully!) 2010 Any break away.

My concern looking at the picture is that the feathers underneath the wings are much smaller than the wing feathers.
Anyone think it may be a duck
Any real experts here???? Maybe cancel that thought, duckes don't appear to carry their wings that way! Sorry! TWBM (hopefully!) 2010 Any break away.

thanks jaycat

It has to be a bird with no flecks in it's plummage, so that rules a lot out. I think the colour may be deceptive. Also I'm looking for the way the bird carriers it's wings, and duks don't seem to come into the right catagory.
I have so many books, but not any closer! May give a break till tomorrow now!!TWBM (hopefully!) 2010 Any break away.

The golden eagle is still looking good to me though. The main pic has small flecks of white in, which the eagle has, but no other colour. When I said flecks of colour before I meant colour. They must have been above hte bird to photo it from that angle, really hard one!?TWBM (hopefully!) 2010 Any break away.
