Best phone for £150 or less??
Looking to buy a new phone as my old nokia has had it!
Liked the look of the razr v3's until I went and had a look at one and they are alot bigger than I thought.
Quite like the look of the pebl but a bit unsure as there are so many on the market now.
Did only want to spend about £100 but the pebl is £150 so would go up to that if someone suggested a good one.
I would like one with a camera and like the flip phones, but any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly received

If you don't mind a non flip phone, the sony ericcson k750 on orange is around £150, and a nice phone. 2 megapixel camera, mp3 player with expandable memory, and long battery life. I mainly use it for text and wap, and can get around a weeks battery life out of it
the pebl only has a basic 0.3 megapixel camera, no mp3 player or expandable memory0 -
If you look in http://www.mobile-phones-uk.org.uk/ they have lots reports - the V3i is looking good - Pebl, not so.
How about Samsung e530 - similar size to pebl & much better reports.
& at £150, aren't you better going contract, rather than buying outright?

Thanks, will have a look at those.
Only use it for texting and emergency phone calls so not sure if it would be worth going on contract.
I don't even use £10 a month and not really sure about all the different contracts even after reading the tips on here!!0 -
I know what you mean about low monthly spend - I'm topping up only £10/month on O2, so that gets 50mins & 50texts. They offer 100 units, too, which could be all minutes, or all texts.
But as I've an old fone, keep looking at the new ones & offers.
Currently tempted by V3i - keeping O2 - https://www.thelink.co.uk on 12months 200mins & 100 texts £15/month for 12months via cashback.
Gets flashy new fone & not much more than I'm spending now!

That looks like a fab deal, you get to 'pay' for the phone in instalments at a sale price and get the texts and calls for free!
How can you tell how much of your free texts/minutes are left?
And also I don't mean to be thick but what happens at the end of the 12 months? Is the phone yours to keep and do you just need to buy a payg sim card? If so this is a brilliant deal!0 -
There is a number you enter on your fone to find out outstanding balance, been mentioned a few times in other posts. Not sure if it tells £$£$ minutes or texts left, though.
On mine, it is about 6 years old, I just press 'reset timers' at the start of each top up, then I know how many minutes have used. Should think most new fones have similar.
At the end of 12months, you either go back to PAYG, see what upgrade they have, switch to another company for a better deal, or whatever you fancy, the fone'll be out of date by then, anyway!!
& if you go for this offer, you'll get £10 - £50 allowance for your old fone at most places, so don't just shove it in a cupboard!!
Crikey!! I nearly sound as if I know what I'm talking about!!

certainly if u want to spend £150 on the handset and £10 a month you are better off with a contract.
if you dont want to bother with cashback then the o2 online tariffs are [probably your best bet.
as far as handsets go you can get the d500 fro under £150 at orange,
e350 is great value at £99 and also w550i (ericson) fro £130 at carphonewarehouse0 -
