The cost of things? What a quaint way of excusing rip off pricing.

Let me guess you work in a similar trade that feels it neccessary to charge customers comedy hourly rates for quick fix jobs?

    Am I right?

    :D

Coming in late in support of the tradesman - you are paying for expertise as well as time and effort. For him to come out at that short notice which I know is the nature of the job of a plumber but if you want a job done well then consult and expert.

In my opinion, as a none tradesperson, it was a very fair price.

Time is time regardless of skill needed to do the job

A rip of would have been £100 to do the job
