  • Hi

This is probably a VERY old thread but I found it in google and decided to sign up just to give my views :)

I applied for visa vanquish the next day I got a phone call went through a few security questions and legal stuff and I got accepted the guy told me on the phone it could take up to 14 days to recieve the card so I think that was instant acceptance seeing as though I have never needed a loan and payed all my bills for 5 years in a row on time with 0 late payment.

Unsure of when it will come through though I will post back and let you all know.

    Thanks, Luke.
  • I thought I explained all this only the other night lol.

Ok, Vanquis unlike any other bank do work differently in that over 90% of accounts are manually opened. They work like this:

Instant Acceptance - good credit score/no adverse etc
Instant Decline - fraud/cifas/not on electoral roll
Referred - Everything else - defaults/missed payments - anything excluding the above

I am not on the electoral roll and i have a Vanquis card - They did however ask for further ID before i got accepted.
