Help - new line + broadband for a large houseshare

Hi all - looking for advice from the MSEers on the best way to obtain broadband for a large houseshare.
I've just moved into a new flatshare, sharing with 9 other people (it's a big place). Currently the house has a number of BT sockets, but they have all been out of use since 2005, and none of them give a dialling tone; obviously we'll have to pay to get reconnected, but that's fine as it'll be split 10 ways.
The main issue is that we do not have an assured tenancy; although it is likely we will be able to stay for 12 months, it is possible we could be kicked out at any time (or any housemate could leave). Due to this, I do not want to be tied into a 12 month contract is possible.
For broadband, BeThere looks our best bet, as it's fast, 3 month contact and unlimited downloads. Really I'm wondering:
1) Is it possible to obtain a new phoneline for broadband without signing a 12 month contact? I noticed Post Office Home Phone do a no-contract reconnection, but does this phone then count as a "BT line" i.e. is it compatible with Be broadband?
2) Are there any broadband or phone providers who allow the bill to be taken out in multiple peoples names? As it stands, one person will have to put their name on the bill, but then that requires trust (plus what happens if they leave?)
3) Does Be internet allow 10 people to simultaneously use their bebox?
4) Can anyone think of a better way to get broadband for this house?
In other house shares I've lived in, a BT line or internet has already been in place, so this is quite a unique situation. Thanks in advance for your advice :T
