Cheap International calling through mobiles

Hi,

I am on T-Mobile right now and use Rebtel for international calls. Rebtel gives me a local number to call and this is within the T-Mobile call allowance. So, I don't pay anything extra.

But I have been considering moving away from TMobile. Can anyone recommend any other network which will offer me a similar international call setup? I have scoured the internet and I can't figure it out.

Help please.
Marie

The Rebtel gives you a local access number which should be free on any mobile network if you have inclusive minutes,. Just check with the provider first to be safe. Or you can use trueroots.co.uk (which giveds you a landline access number) which keep on running the double deposit promotions from time to time. I am using it but am not connected to it in any way. I am sure there will be many other similar providers.

Do you just call your network provider and ask them? Do they tell you?

Yes just call your network provider and ask them. That would be the best option. I think it should be free (inclusive) anyway as it is a landline number.

Has anyone used Rebtel on Orange phone? I want to get a Racoon tariff on Orange and it includes unlimited anytime calls. I want to know if I can use Rebtel with these minutes.

    Has anyone tried this?

  • I use 1899 with my Orange contract phone. As long as you add the mobile number to the 1899 account first. You can get the access number off the 1899 site, it is an 0207 number as is therefore calls fall within any allowances.

  • I used Skype's Unlimited world. They gave me a local number. I called it, Typed in the the number i wanted or used the speed dials. It was fine and i used it everyday and had not too many problems (sorted by just dialling again). You get charged by your provider your normal landline rate. I was paying £7.99 for the lot. Not sure if it costs more/less. I switched to a single country service to save on costs.
