Reduction in Water Bill?

Hiya, first time on the 'water board'.
Am I dreaming or have I heard that if there are 5 plus people in a household and you are on benefits you can get a reduction in your water bill?
Anyone share any light?

You can, but only if you are on a metered supply AND your circumstances comply with the following:

To be elegible you need to be receiving benefits and also either have three or more children under the age of 19 or you or someone in your household must have a medical condition that means they use a lot of extra water.

  • Thanks for that Withabix
Not on a metered supply and don't think it would be the right idea to move to one as when do find a new job would be stuck with the meter!!!
  • yep if family member hasa medical skin condition needing lots of washing /laundry the company can allow for you to be only charged 'average' consumption apply ..i think this was like a wet ecezema/runny skin condition
