Not with batteries, just plug in & charge up.
I've been into Currys/Comet & Asda this evening to get a feel for features. Unfortunately you can't switch them on.
In Asda there was a Casio priced @ £70 which was rechargeable EX-Z9 in silver, with 8.1 mega pixels, 2.6" LCD screen which I thought wasn't badly priced. I'll need to check out reviews against this model & see what's said.
Comet had nothing really, but Currys had a Kodak @ £89.99 with 10 million pixels it said, unsure what the difference is between mega & million pixels, but that's what it read, that had a 3" LCD screen.
I know I'll have to purchase the SD memory card seperately, Asda do one @ £6.47 or buy two for £10.
Thanks for the replies so far. More ideas & recommendations welcome. Cheers
As I said earlier a compact with 10 million pixels (same as mega pixels) is a complete waste, there is no way the sensor or the lens can resolve that amount of detail with any degree of clarity, and you'll get better quality pictures with a lower "megapixel" range with a better lens. Anything 5 to 6 Megapixels (million pixels) on a compact is fine.
Any salesman telling you otherwise has no idea about photography, optics nor diffraction. Megapixels is a simple sales tool to get you to spend more to get more, but they will not give better pictures.
Kodak don't make good digital cameras. Stick to Canon, Panasonic and the big names. The Casios are slim but not the best. If you are in a newsagents, have a skim through PC Pro magazine, they do a good comparative test of a massive set of compacts this month (July 09), the Canon's win the awards.

Apoligies, Fuji (And Olympus) used to use XD cards, now they use SD cards.........perhaps they saw the light?0
