I am still feeding dry food - I give some raw sheeps heart pieces & when that runs out will try other stuff - basically what is going cheap at the time!

Can raw really be sufficient for all their dietary needs (note my moglets are mostly indoor cats)? Fraid I am not a fan of additional cleaning so I will probly not want to do anything but cut raw meat into pieces - I imagine something like a chicken wing could get dragged over the kitchen floor whilst they are trying to consume it!

True, but they would chow down hard on it and that's the teeth-cleaning benefit, right there, so I wouldn't cut the heart into pieces either myself. Running about with their "prey" and making a mess of the kitchen floor would be half the fun. Easy on the raw liver if you considering feeding that, by the way

Also, cats can live quite healthily solely on a pure meat diet, it's what they ate in the wild before they took up permanent residence with the ancient Egyptians, after all
  • problem is with feeding only raw meat is: cats in the wild also consume the skin, feathers ect. Obviously, the cat isn't getting this when plain meat is given.

I would try natures menu if you are determine to keep as close to nature as possible. It's about 78% meat.

Hi all, well the cats seem to be enjoying the starter pack - even the fussy oldest cat! :j

They seem to be enjoying the variety and our youngest cat already has better breath and cleaner looking teeth. I'm quite pleased with it so far.

I checked our 3yr old tom cats´teeth yesterday and he had a build up of tartar on some of his back teeth. Didn´t realise it was Ok to feed them chicken wings.......cooked or uncooked?

Hi Sandy, it would be uncooked chicken as cooked bones are more likely to snap and would be dangerous for the cat as they could choke on them.

My youngest cat loves chicken legs, he gnaws to the bone and then snaps the bone open.
