Trust me when I say this. It is not Grade A teak. They sell a chemically treated grade B/C teak. It is chemically treated to make the colour look more even to try and fool you into thinking its uniform and therefore grade A. What they fail to mention is that the acidic solution they use to even out the colour destroys the natural oils in the teak and therefore it becomes useless in a very short time. Don’t forget that feedback is generated soon after buying. If you could see what people thought a year or two AFTER they bought the furniture, the feedback would have been very different. It will last you around 3 years if you are lucky. Seriously, I can’t stress this enough. If you buy anything but kiln dried grade A teak, you are wasting your money. Iroko is a MUCH better choice then Grade C teak. It will last you at least twice as long. Read that teak advice thing again on faraway furniture’s website http://www.farawayfurniture.co.uk/teak-furniture-advice.htm. By the way, the only dealer that sells grade A teak on eBay is called Teakita. If you can’t afford Faraway or Barlow then go with them.
