Any Suggestions...

We currently have no phone but likely have had a phone in the flat before. We would like to have Internet access but don't really know where to start.

We would happily have a phoneline connected if this is necessary. We have three computers and ideally would like to be able to use the Internet on all three at the same time.

Do you know of any good deals. Our Internet usage would be mainly in the evening (if this is relevant)... also we don't need a phone if we can do without.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a BT line and master socket or not (you say 'likely'-haven't you looked?)? You can't have a broadband service unless you first have an active BT line. If the line is not installed you must first get that done, if the line is installed but inactive you must get it activated.
The only alternative to a BT line is Virgin Media cable service, if available in your area.
You can connect 3 or more computers at the same time, most ISP's will give you a wireless router so you can connect by wireless if your computers are wireless enabled) or by ethernet cable if not.
