Getting a new number

Hi there. I am currently with 3 and was wondering if I could change my current mobile number for free without editing my package or phone. Is this possible with any network and is it possible to do for free? Or is the only way out to cancel my contract and to start out afresh?

Regards

Wrong you can change your number with 3 but they will charge you £10 for doing so, unless you can prove that you are the victim or harrasment etc then they might do it for free.

Phone them up and ask your options, I know that a few months ago you could get a new number though :)

Thats a very inaccurate sweeping statement.

I changed my number once but I had to make a report to the police and quote the reference number to my network provider (I think it was Orange at the time) so it was possible 4 or 5 years ago.
