in Credit cards
hi everybody
I recently got myself a new job which i started beginning of this month after 3 months out of work so very pleased, getting paid next month so very happy after having to live off a months wages for 3 months including bills.
Just set up a direct debit payment on my credit card for twice as much as the minimum payment (90 x 2=180) and done same with catalogues.
very happy with myself and feel so much better for doing the direct debit because now i can forget about having to pay it and feel good knowing i am paying twice as much down and the interest will go down with it.
will still have £450-£500 after bills and looking to start renting a flat with my girlfriend of 6 years early next year. so taking the bills down to an acceptable amount is priority. Also i have quit drinking as it was costing me a fortune a month on going out and to the pub on weekends
so planning on living on £250 and putting £200 to one side to save for moving out or unexpected circumstances.
summary= very happy! sorry i had to share it with somebody!

Excellent news Tbag. Well done .
thanks guys
am very glad to be back on my feet and am prepared for the long hard slog its going to be to get it paid off but with the more i am paying off the interest will go down which means when i stick to the direct debit i will be paying more and more off each month due to interest going down!
so so glad and happy to have sorted things out. everybody has debts but its getting them sorted out and paid off and not to worry too much. keep head held high someone can always help. i spent sleepless nights worrying too much but now after setting up the direct debit i can forget not totally but just know that it comes out without me doing anything and i can concentrate on living my life properly. i make it sound like im millions of pound in debt but its only £3300 but it is/was enough to to say "right i have been silly but sitting around moping is doing nothing for me" and that worked, plus having an amazing girlfriend who has supported me throughout helps!0 -
congratulations on the job
when you're making payments on the debts, it's most cost effective to pay as much as possible on the debt with the highest APR and the minimum on other debts... quickest way of paying them off.0 -

Well done lad!! :beer:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

its okay i just know from experience its always nice to hear somebody talk about it and to see its not hard to do. just look positvely at things however hard it is and work through it.
