iPhone - best to buy on credit card?

Hi all.

Towards the end of June I will be due my upgrade on O2 - I will be going for an iPhone.

Unless deals change between now and then the phone will cost me some money.

My question - would I be best paying for the phone on my credit card (paid off in full every month at 0% - so will not cost me more)? If I have a problem with the phone is the credit card going to act as extra backup to getting the problem sorted?

Thanks for your time.
Craig.

The credit card wont act as a backup (I dont think).
You have to make sure there are no fees attached to paying with credit card - or if o2 accepts credit cards even (dont you normally have to supply a bank account?).

    Thanks for your reply hotkee

I've not checked regarding fee's for using a credit card - I'd not given it a though TBH.

As i will be upgrading my existing contract i won't have to give them any new bank details for my direct debit - I'll just have to pay for the new phone.

If there are no added back-ups provided on the phone from my credit card i might aswell just use my debit card.

Best option I think with debit card - keep it simple.

I too have considered using credit card somehow but alas too mind numbing - in the end I would make a few points on my credit card with the spend per month (and pay off before any interest applied) - so it wasn't worth the hassle.

And in any event there is always the warranty for the phone that applies so if things go wrong....

Just get the best discount you can when you upgrade.

Unless you're using an Egg Money card, which now offers extended warranty on electrical items, or you are buying online, there's no reason to use a credit card IMO.
