o2 XDA IIi problem
Hi,
I have a problem with my XDA IIi, it won't turn on all it displays on the screen is Serial at the top and V1.01 at the bottom. I have tried plugging it in the USB cradle and the Serial then says USB and a different version number?
I have tried doing a hard reset and that does not work.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I think you will have to attempt to reinstall or upgrade your XDA's ROM. See this forum ("O2 XDA II Hangs" http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=4919) for an example of your problem and scroll down to bottom of the thread for suggested solution.
The only (potential) problem is that you will need to know your device's IMEI number, which you would normally access via the device itself when it is on. If you don't have it written down anywhere, maybe you can get it from O2?
Here is where you download the ROM:
O2 xda microsite : xda software updates
http://www.my-xda.com/xda2i_soft2.html
Alternatively, I might be able to email or give you a link to download the ROM as I have it on my hard drive. PM me if you prefer or need that option.0 -
would be safer to get it done under warrenty 1st and only do it yourself if warrenty has expired0

Thanks for that mate, I tried reloading the latest ROM and it started working. I downloaded the latest ROM from the o2 Ireland website.0 -
You can get all the latest and modified ROM's at xda-developers, the modded ones are far more stable then the O2 ones, just have a look in the Alpine forum there.0
