I have a plastic carrier bag in the footwell of the passenger side, into which I chuck all my ongoing rubbish (pie wrappers and empty fag packets).

Then if anybody gets in my car (say, once a year), I can just tie up the handles of that and chuck it in the back.

I try and do that. But since the basset came along with her magical dog-hair carpet that follows her wherever she goes, I've become even more lax.

My house looks like Kim and Aggie have been. My car looks like swampy's been.

we've always had a lot in common Phirefly: you're reconfirming this.

My dog-dog gets a wipe down with a damp flannel in attempt to catch some of the loose hair. Vacumming dog hair of car upholstery is some kind of torture. Someone should tell American army about it: at least as affective as waterboarding.

I have recently discovered that all the time picking out individual hairs is made even more soul destroying when you look up and realise there is some creepy white mould growing in the ceiling of your car: I have no idea where that came from or what to do about it.

Are you sure they are not really meant for the "cargo net", so when you have been saved by all those airbags, you are not killed by a flying tin of beans?

Nope, definitely bag hooks. It has a parcel shelf. :)

Incidentally, The Blog reached over a thousand hits in one day yesterday, so huge thanks to all who clicked and had a look.

And even bigger thanks if you passed it on to people you thought might like it.

And special thanks for all the encouraging comments of course. :)

Is this blog going to make you any money? If it does, don't you have to declare it, thereby having the net income deducted from JSA?

Doesn't the blog detract from employment-seeking, or putting thought/energy into setting up some self-employment business to generate a bit more income (like say £40+ a day, or a lot more, which to me at least is pretty damn easy for anyone who is willing to put in some effort/application/intelligence.) That is, providing you are also willing to look beyond whatever sector you were in before and consider other things.

Recounting your tales and lots of hits might be satisfying, but when it's not earning you a basic living income, I hope you're not preparing yourself for the poverty line for the long-term.

Otherwise I'll soon expect a story where you're chancing not getting your car-taxed for a month after it's due, ect ect. People will find it a great read and lots of hits I'm sure. 100% of my energy would be on getting a regular living income in, and not dossing around on writing blogs for pennies and self-satisfaction.

Max has writing ability. This blog is (among other activities he's doing) a step on the long road toward getting published and becoming self-employed. Writing is certainly beyond the sector in which he worked previously.

    Keep up, will you?

dog-dog objects to the vacuum (siding with one of the cats on this), we also have one of the big dogs who is unvacuumable. One is though. really I should put some time into resolving this...i'd not let it go with a horse/clippers, but it just seems an extra chore rather than a time saving thing ATM. :o

Dopester, when job hunting its hard to keep esteem high. By doing something that he's good at Max is a: getting positive boost to esteem, b: honing/refining an existant skill, c: getting experience in self publishing. I think if he were bloging for no return for hours and hours each and every day you might have a point: now he's on a roll its one main post a day. I like you very much Dopester, but on this I disagree with you.
