And driving with the windows down, fag on. Heaven...

    Happy days.
I still do that. Ashtray's never been used in my car and I've owned it 8 years.

Weren't Balkan Sobranies the ultimate in posh? Oh and Peter Styvesant. And then liquorice cigarette papers, nutmeg and banana skins. Rolling machines, Zippo's. Even a pipe at one stage.

Keep with the smoking memories, or I might end up mentioning tank tops.

My first moped was a Puch Maxi, JPS Special Edition. It was black, with narrow gold piping along all the framework parts - and the black wheels had a narrow band of red.

Had to buy that - I smoked the fags, needed the moped!

I just presumed that if you smoked enough JPS you got the moped free! :rotfl:

More, my dear fellow, if you want the ultimate in posh. A slim brown 120mm panatella of carcinogenic heaven.

Of course it also made one look slightly effeminate, but worth it for the totally upmarket pseudo cigar imagery.

It's the naughty people on this thread, smoking ciggies and hanging out at the back of the school bus. Hang out with the bad crowd and you get what you deserve. Bottom 10% of the league tables, entirely disposable. Watch out or the 456'll get ya too.

    OMG.... How did you know?

That was me.....but I don't let my kids behave like I did...ever...I tell them straight; Work hard, head down, study, study, study, obey the rules...and you'll have an OK life.
Then they turn it on you...''but you didn't mum/dad''.......then we say ''But it was different then'' .
We had Thatcher and all that olden days stuff to fight....and, boy, did you need a smoke it get through it.

Loving this new blog BTW http://charliecroker.wordpress.com/ got a sneaky preview.

    teen impersonates terminator whilst high

Yeah, and Rock 'N Roll.

I went ''naughty'' on a mid teen diet of 35 hours of classical music a week. I also had a pretty heavy think about Byron and Blake for a while....the bad and the mad.

In fact, dance music helped straighten me out a bit. :o The devil's music helped turn me into the angel I am today :A

Are people seriously saying once you could buy cigarettes one and a time (''singles'')?

Passing Cloud ciggies were kewl - not round y'see (preferred Disque Blue meself... if they'd run out of No 10s).

[edit] LiR - you could buy 2 woodies and a couple of matches in a retail pack 'when I were a lad', some corner shops sold singles in a paper bag...
