Dual SIM mobile phones

I am trying to find a mobile phone which will take 2 SIM cards, both of which are on line when the phone is on. Needs to be at least tri-band but better would be quad-band. I tried searching but apart from a site in the USA with phones by manufacturers I've never heard of, not a lot of success.

I found one by Samsung but it is only dual band and I want it as a present to a globe-trotting friend.

Any suggestions?

I did a google search on dual sim mobile phones and got 97,500 results and some of the sites were uk based!!!!!

The next big dual sim mobile phone release is from acer - the dx900.

as far as i'm aware you cant use 2 sims at once....its either one sim or the other in a dual sim handset (at least it is with mine)

I'm not completely sure about other handsets but the Acer has this ability

There are phones that will work 2 SIM cards simultaneously I am told. Not many, but they are out there but seem hard to find.

Which one do you have?

You could try a phone from Dealextreme. Fairly cheap and I believe one or two of the dual-SIM models will do what you want.

There are plenty dual-sim phones at dealextreme.com Both sims are on simultaneously. I have the zoho v90 that I use for international travel, and I am satisfied with it.
