Down to the company when they take it. Sometimes - normally small companies - dont do their banking very regularly so will debit when they are ready0 -
I buy football tickets quite often on my debit card.
They tend to batch process all card sales once all the tickets for a particular match have sold out.
Sometimes takes a week or more to come through

Ok, well it was a small independent music store I bought it from, so maybe they just do it once a week or so. I'm hoping it's not when all the festival tickets sell out, because that's not going to happen!
