Forgive my bad mannners ladies - when I posted earlier I forgot to say Thank you for another hug in a package - it was waiting vor me - it had arrived last week and I could smell it as soon as I opened the front door - Yankee candle tarts a vanilla lime and a mango/peach salsa - heavenly!!! and lip balm, toottyfrooties, magnetic photo paper and a fabulous colouring book and crayons (I have never seen an adult colouring book!) and a lovely card - it was a lovely welcome home surprise!

And thank you to Greenbee - your lovely card arrived today.

SS you freeze your ready made sandwiches???

Yes!!! :D I make sandwiches / pittas / muffins / pizza / pasta / hot cross buns / sausages / fish fingers / spring rolls / etc etc wrap them up and freeze them.
I freeze the yoghurt tubes too. That way, getting the lunches ready is just a case of getting the stuff out of the freezer the night before. :j

I only make very basic sandwiches - ham, cheese or jam, obviously tomato or salad won't freeze, so if I've got time or inclination, I put a little tub of salad or tomato in their lunch box so they can add it if they like.

It's so much easier to make a loaf's worth of butties in one go, rather than cope with children round my feet in the morning, moaning cos they don't want whatever they can see me making.

DD3 loves cold sauages or fish fingers with a little tub of sauce to dip them in. :D

Plus, if I'm using the oven for one thing, I'll sling in a pizza to chop up for some lunches. :money:

Also, I always box up the leftovers from dinner for Mr Sh's lunches. :money:

Given that school dinners are £1.75 a day here, x3 children... I just couldn't/wouldn't do it!! :p

That was a very lengthy explanation!! :)

:j:j:jHe passed, phew, don't need to find more cash for a resit :j:j:j

Just the sweeping, dusting, mopping and sorting the junk I've found to do.....wouldn't think I've been working on the room all day so far and there is so much more to do!! They better all tidy up after themselves in future. Only things of mine I have found is one book  yet it's me who has a box full of junk to rehome.

Best get it finished before the kids get home, then they will be warned
One day I might be more organised...........

Sarah - I do that too - but even if you take them out of the freezer in the morning, they are always defrosted by lunchtime..... Well, Mine DS is - Its quite warm in their little school though.....so I think while its defrosting, its keeping everything cool too. xx
