not quite as clear cut as it seems cos we don't know what you have. Who issued the 'ticket' and under what legislation (listed on it)?

Newark and Sherwood District Council - parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours (double yellow lines), observed the car from 14:56 - 15:01.

Been into town to the office and simply said, thats not my car, i got asked if the registration was wrong, at which i said yes and said i have my V5 if they needed evidence of my actual registration, they said no.

Basically to not do anything, they'll try and trace the registration they have down and to hold onto the ticket as thats my evidence that i do not have that car matching to whats on the ticket.

The point is whether or not it is issued under TMA 2004 ( I think N&S is). this would mean that the PCN is indeed invalid and any pic evidence is irrelevant.

If they try it on and trace you, issue a Notice to Owner, then post back here and you appeal on invalid PCN.

Well the ticket says issued by Newark/Sherwood District Council acting as agent to the enforcement authority - Nottinghamshire County Council.

Where i went today is the place you go to pay these fines in cash, so they must know what they're on about. They did say to hold onto the ticket as my evidence and if i had any problems to go back and see them.
