Cancel Vodafone contract

I have told Vodafone that I wish to give my 30 days notice to cancel - both by phone and by email while logged on to my account. (after being a long term customer)

The terms and conditions as far as I can see state
"You or we may end this contract by giving the other one calendar months notice".

They now insist that it must be by letter - while I am saying I have complied with the terms and conditions and the notice period has started.

Am I being unreasonable?

  • Vodafone will only close your account if you 1)Buy out of your term using a CC or request a PAC code or 2)In writing once the anniversary of the contract has passed.
