2nd Wedding Anniversary ideas - cotton?

It's the DW and my 2nd anniversary next weekend.
We're going for a nice weekend away, but as last year I gave her a newspaper dated from our wedding day (as 1st year is paper) this year I want to carry on the theme (with a cotton related present).
Does anyone have any good (preferably cheap) ideas, no matter how loosely related to cotton?

How about - a fairtrade cotton t-shirt you can get 2 for £8 in M&S.
Cotton sheets or a cotton skirt would be another idea.0 -
I had a new set of PJ and and a matching dressing gown.0

Lace is usually made from cotton thread. Perhaps something "interesting" in the underwear department?0

I'd get a plain cotton tshirt and decorate, either with a picture of you two on your wedding day? Get some t-shirt transfers. Or just some fabric paints?
Hope this helps0 -
Do you know any one who cross stiches could you get something made up to your likeing that could be kept ?
How sweet are you anyway i got the obligatory bunch of petrol station flowers on my first wedding aniversary lol :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

I stitched my husband a cross stitch on our 2nd anniversary.
He bought me a scarf/wrap.
I like using the traditional or modern anniversary gift list to give me ideas. We try and do this every year. Finding something suitable is half the fun!
For the first year (paper) I bought some books, and placed an anniversary ad in the local paper. DH bought me several books.
2nd year (cotton), as above.
3rd year (leather) I framed one of our wedding photos in a black leather photo frame. DH bought me a gorgeous pair of cross stitch scissors in a leather sheath.
4th year (flowers) I bought him the Bambi 1 & 2 DVD, which came with a cuddly toy of Flower. He has never seen Bambi as he was refused entry at the cinema because it was an evening showing, even though the film is a kids film! DH bought me some Birkenstock sandals with flowers on (which I heavily hinted at for weeks before!)
5th year (wood). I bought DH some beer inside wooden 'cage'. He bought me a celtic necklace with wood in.
6th year-I cannot remember what either of us bought. This is terrible because it was only last year!
7th year (copper or wool). Our anniversary is next week, so not sure what he's got for me yet. I've bought something along the copper line, but not quite what you'd expect...;)
Hope you find something suitable. I think the thought is more what counts anyway. Happy Anniversary!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Apparently £10 notes have cotton in them (I think my husband told me this once), so I asked for a bunch of those. I can't remember what I got him now though.Well I can't stand by the side
And watch this life pass me by
Just want to be...Happy0 -

Have you already booked the weekend away? A weekend to somewhere well known for cotton lace would be nice....Brussels, Venice....0
