LLU is Local Loop unbundling , BT makes its local network (the copper cables that run from customers premises to the telephone exchange) available to other companies. Operators are then able to upgrade individual lines using DSL technology to offer services such as always on high speed Internet access, direct to the customer.
They put their own equipment in BT exchanges to supply the broadband , rather than use BT's (unless they buy it wholesale from BT in which case it is BT equipment just to confuse it slightly, the Post office do this)Ex forum ambassador

You could try the Samknows MAPPING with Google that should show you what faster ADSL2+ based broadband (the main advantage their putting their own LLU equipment in the exchange) offers for your location:

The closer to the exchange (ie the shorter the phone cable) the greater the potential ADSL2+ advantage.
