I'm interested in this "new" check in thing with Ryan Air

as earlier this year I booked flights to Majorca
bearing in mind we will have cases to check in
I assumed we "had" to check in via the check in desk etc and "paid" the fee to go with it

so my query is why have I been charged for a service I will not be using, no doubt it will be impossible to get a refund on these charges

and what will happen should our cases be over the weight limit (which obviously I hope they don't)

    any help/advice would be appreciated

If you booked earlier than 20/5 then it looks like you must use online check in, but won't be charged the check in fee?
The baggage drop station will weigh your cases and surcharge you if necessary (if there's an opportunity to make some extra money, you can be sure that Ryanair will have staff there to do it).
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

booked flights early February and have paid £28.50 for 2 adults & 1 child for airport check in (this is for return check in with luggage)
