    Some suggestions here. ;)
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Well made the "paste" late last night (around 10pm) as i didn't want to waste the mushrooms and it came out fantastic. I even popped them in two plastic containers i recycled from a bought supermarket sauce (god i love to save money and help the planet :)).

My tesco stick blender ploughed through the mushrooms and onion and did an amazing job. So now i have the paste in the fridge waiting to make my mushroom soup :)

    Thanks guys.

    Hi all

I've made a huge pot of mushroom soup as I had a crate of mushrooms to use up. It tastes fine but is a not very nice dark brown colour. Is there anyway I can make it a lighter colour more like the colour of a tinned mushroom soup. So far the soup has been made up of onions. garlic, parsley, mushrooms and chicken stock.

    Thanks for your help!

when i make mushroom soup i make the base 50/50 with stock and milk, mines usually a pale creamy colour like mushroom soup. The milk probally lightens it. could you try that?:D
