Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if there would be a problem with me getting a new washing machine from my catalogue now as mine has just broken (seems to be the year i have to replace everything, TV, Hi fi now washer), I plan on going BR by end of next month, so was wondering if the OR would look dim on this purchase? I am thinking the catalogue as i have no spare cash at all, still trying to save my BR fees.

Not sure, but sure the others will know.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

A washing machine is pretty much a necessary item so I wouldn't worry about it so long as you purchase a 'normal' one i.e. not one costing £1000.0

my friend bought one a week before they went BR it cost about £500
nothing was said to them

you could always try asking on your local freecycle groups too to see if anyone has a second hand one going spare. But if I was desperate for one, then I would get it from the catalogue.

If you are going to buy it on the catalogue you may as well get the extended warranty.

we are hopefully going bankrupt next month and desperately need a new carpet for our living room, been saving for ages but havent got anywhere near enough and now need to put that to bc fees.
would this be seen as a luxury spend if i ordered one through littlewoods cat before br? (sorry for hijack of post!)
not wanting to abuse the system atall and i suspect it is totally not allowed but just wandering what other peoples views are.0 -
I would have thought carpet would be considered luxury but thats just my opinion.

look at https://www.freecycle.org and you can get all these things for free - pre-used, pre-loved or second-hand however you want to term it, but for just the cost of collection.
It may be worth joining other groups nearby if you live near a well-off area and yours is not. The pickings can be very good.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Is this not seen as entering a credit agreement knowing you cannot repay it?
I'm just wondering out loud really, sorry.
