Complicated PAC move, possible?

I signed up to a contract with O2 for my son who now tells me that the number of texts is too low (minutes too high, of course). Since it is a Casback deal I don't want to mess with that but in reality he would probably be better off with an O2 PAYG.

Am I correct in assuming that if a PAC was requested from O2 to another provider or O2 (or back to O2 PAYG via teh other network) then that would invalidate the contract? I would be quite happy to complete the contract myself but neither of us wish to lose our numbers??

Would O2 co-operate in this?

Alternatively, are there bundles to add on to Pay Monthly accounts (currently on 200 mins & 100 texts).

Thanks - head spinning now.....

I am sure they would provide the PAC if the line rental for the rest of the contract is paid. You would probably be ineligible for cashback though...?

Have a look at the o2 website, o2 do bolt-ons which you could consider.

If you have gone for a cashback deal, you can't reduce/cancel or request a PAC code until your 12 month contract has finished otherwise you will be invalidating your cashback claim. If you want extra texts on the o2 200 tariff you can ad a text bolt-on, which will be ok with your cashback claim.

You would not need a PAC code if you were going from o2 contract to o2 PAYG as long as the contract has finished or paid up
