Wrong! - well it certainly is wrong for the Pocketgpsworld database - only alert in the correct direction.

......... the database from PGPSW does contain directional data for those devices that can support this feature, sadly TomTom and Garmin do not offer this capability when using third party POI files0 -

Seems to depend on how close the co-ordinates are then, as many of the ones I pass only trigger warning in the correct directionBritish Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I've just been looking into replacing my old road angel as it is rubbish. I keep getting false warning all the time.
I have found the PocketGPS data to be helpful, but i found this website called staycon.co.uk that offers trade in for old units and an overlay for TomTom units.
If you have a TomTom i would take a look as it doesn't rely on POI's it acts as an overlay and gives you directional voice warnings.0
