which new contract phones come unlocked?

from what i have heard, O2 is unlocked.

My clearance SE k750i came unlocked from OSPS (with Orange sim). Also had an unlocked Nokia 1100 from Virgin Mobile a few months ago.

sony ericsson w900i's come locked on vodafone, but the nokia 3310 i had from vodafone a while back was not locked

All o2 handsets are unlocked afaik. Most vodafone handsets are (only 3g handsets are locked and branded unless you are purchasing from voda direct). Quite a few orange and t-mobile handsets are unlocked as well if you are buying them from independents. All Virgin handsets are unlocked.

Orange phones come unlocked. I buyed the contact phone and pay and go phone on orange and both are unlocked. But NEVER EVER get a orange contract, they are the worst company ever, just read some of the threds on this forum.
