Credit card success !!!

Hello. I had credit problems a few yrs ago and have since got myself back on my feet. However, my credit report shows 3 satisfied CCJ's the latest of which still has three yrs until it disappears off my file. Even though my experian credit score is 900, which apparently is good, I still get rejected by all the major credit card companies. I bank with the Natwest and recently got turned down with them, but they sent me a (standard) letter saying that if i wished, I could appeal and supply them with supporting info and in effect re-apply. I simply wrote to them saying that my previous credit problems were not directly my fault and enclosed copies of the pages from my credit file showing that all my credit accounts were healthy. I added a statement saying that I wasnt looking for a card with rewards or a huge credit limit, I just wanted a card with a sensible interest rate that would be there for emergencies. This morning i received a letter saying my application has now been reconsidered and will be receiving my card with a £3350 limit shortly. Just proves that they do take each case on its merits, but only if you appeal. The online application process is handled by a computer and the appeal process by a human being. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation. Good luck
