blueyonder broadband upgrades

anybody else fed up of waiting for these "free" upgrades to take place??

i have a 512k connection, which was supposed to be upgraded to a 2mb connection, for free, over 4 months ago!!

i need a faster connection, they dont offer 1mb anymore, just 14.99 (for 512k, soon to be 2mb) or 24.99 (2mb, soon to be 10mb!) anybody else think this is out of order? they have a statement saying all upgrades in the birmingham area will be complete by the end of march!! (which i doubt)

can i do anything about this you think??

YORKSHIRE and BIRMINGHAM in the next few day's hopefully (if it's not a big April fool)and remember they are free upgrades so you have to wait for them or upgrade your self to the next package ,has the site say speeds up to 2/4/10mb ,if you feel hard done by ring them and complain they mite upgrade you for free has the system is in place now

im going to wait 3 more days, as they say all upgrades will be completed by the end of march. then its ring and write time!!

in a way im hoping they dont finsih the upgrades becuase i will have a strong case , for compensation as a loyal customer!!

Yorkshire (Wakefield, Sheffield, what I now about) got updated about five min ago speed's up and down like a yo yo at the moment
remember you will need a big file to test the speed has most speed test sites are set up for ADSL upto 2mb not DSL upto 10mb, the best one is http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/ they have some very large files to download and you browser shows the average speed not true speed

is that not good enough?, i cant download becuase i have other things downloading. from that speed test i get 446 kbits/sec (56 KBytes/sec)

i am on a 512k connection, i think this is about right for the speed of connection i have?? (i could be wrong?!)

what you think? what kind of speed should i get with a 2mb connection you reckon?

I use http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ on the left speed test.

rememder that blueyonder has just upgraded yorkshire and every one that nows will be speed testing like hell and adslguide will be the first port off call for most people and the speed will be naff for days ,i think it was two week last time they upgraded
